Short answer

We use HeyGen inside customcommercials.ai, so this is not a fight. HeyGen is an avatar video tool you drive yourself: you write the script, pick the presenter, generate, and edit the ad around it. We use HeyGen's presenters as the spokespeople inside a done-for-you commercial, with a storyboard (a shot-by-shot plan with a picture for most shots) you approve, cinematic B-roll (the footage that plays while someone talks), a voice, music and an end card. Pick HeyGen if you want to make presenter videos yourself every month. Pick us if you want one finished commercial. If you are looking for a HeyGen alternative for ads, one that makes the whole commercial for you, that is us; if you want to make presenter videos yourself, HeyGen is the better buy.

What HeyGen is, and what HeyGen pricing looks like

HeyGen (heygen.com) makes realistic AI avatar videos. You type a script, choose a stock avatar or make a digital twin of yourself, and it renders the presenter speaking. On November 4, 2026 its pricing page listed a free plan with a watermark, a Creator plan at $29 a month billed monthly (less when paid yearly) with 600 credits and 1080p video, a Pro plan at $49 a month with 1,000 credits and Veo 3.1 B-roll, and a Business plan at $149 a month plus a per-seat fee. An avatar minute is reported to cost about 31 credits on Avatar IV.† HeyGen also sells an API and 4K export on higher plans.

What we are

customcommercials.ai is a studio built on several models, HeyGen among them. You write a brief. We write the storyboard and show a preview still (one picture of what each shot will look like) for most shots, free. You approve and pay once for the finished length. Then we make every shot: HeyGen presenters say your lines; Kling 3 Pro and Veo 3.1 Fast make the B-roll; FLUX makes the stills; ElevenLabs makes the voice; we add music and the end card and deliver wide 16:9, vertical 9:16 and square 1:1. Reshoots (making a shot again with new words or a new description) are included up to an allowance shown on the commercial's page; edits and re-renders afterward are free. Our pricing page has the rate, what a commercial costs compares every option with sources, and AI commercials shows how one is made.

When HeyGen for ads is the better choice

  • You make presenter videos every month: explainers, updates, training, sales messages.
  • You want a digital twin of yourself to use again and again inside your own tools.
  • You want to drive the avatar directly and edit the rest yourself.
  • You need video longer than a commercial.

When we are

  • You want a commercial, not a presenter clip: a hook (the first two seconds that make someone stay), B-roll, a product shot, proof and an end card.
  • You want someone else to plan the shots and show you the plan before you pay.
  • You want one price for one finished ad, with no plan to pick.

Questions

Do you use HeyGen?

Yes. The AI spokespeople in a customcommercials.ai commercial are HeyGen presenters from the presenter library, speaking your lines in the voice you choose. We say so plainly because it is true and because it is only one part of the commercial.

Should I just use HeyGen?

If you want a talking-presenter video and you are happy to write it, generate it and edit it, yes, HeyGen is a good tool and cheaper per clip. If you want a finished commercial with B-roll, a product shot, music and an end card, planned in a storyboard you approve, that is what we add on top.

What does HeyGen cost?

On November 4, 2026, HeyGen's pricing page listed a free plan with a watermark, Creator at $29 a month, Pro at $49 and Business at $149 plus a per-seat fee, all billed monthly with lower prices paid yearly. Plans buy credits; what an avatar minute costs in credits is reported by third parties, not published by HeyGen.†

What do you add on top of HeyGen?

The storyboard with preview stills and the dollar price before you pay; the B-roll from Kling 3 Pro and Veo 3.1 Fast; stills from FLUX; the ElevenLabs voice and the music; the end card; three shapes from one approval; reshoots up to an included allowance; the editor for trims, retitles and music; YouTube upload (on a plan with integrations); dubbing into other languages; and a flow where nothing costs money until you approve.
